About Us
Hovertown is a cartography and data visualization blog where we present maps that explore a wide range of topics, driven by a fascination with the diversity of places. We use maps to ask questions about what makes a place what it is, and combine layers of information to identify trends and problems, celebrate successes, and evaluate systems within regions on many scales. Cartography can help us understand the factors that connect or divide us. As a tool for bringing data to life, it illustrates our diversity and helps us improve and plan for the future. It can point out blind spots and disparities that need attention.
